Bandhej Skirts

Bandhej Skirts are pure silk skirts having bandhej and embroidery works on these. Bandhej silk is one of the most preferred conventional silk. Although, the bandhani skirts manufacturing process is simple, but it takes long time to be completed. A single piece of bandhej silk cloth takes around one week of time to complete all the intricated designs on it. Each section of the the silk that is used for making bandhani skirts is carefully dipped again in paint and tied again to bring contrast in its color. Usually, the fine craft-work that is performed on the skirts are accomplished by female workers and the tying process is prepared by male workers.

One peculiar thing about the bandhej skirts is that no two bandhani skirts are similar to each other. The reason is that the bandhej silk skirts are absolutely prepared by human efforts and in two consequent human efforts, a slight difference must be occurred. Therefore, all the bandhani silk skirts are differ from one another in respect of their color, design, and size.
